Honeylove MeshSculpt Shapewear Shorts Review 2025

We tested Honeylove’s newest shapewear shorts. From its lightweight fabric to the targeted shaping, here’s why you need to try.
Light and airy.
By Sara KlausingPublished: Jun 27, 2025 12:59 PM EDT Compared to other shaping shorts, these feel light as air when I pick them up. I hadn’t really considered this a huge factor until I had to pack for an out-of-town wedding, and the Honeylove shorts took up barely any space at all. The innovative mesh fabric is somehow soft and strong–it delivers powerful support with significantly less weight and bulk. The breathability keeps me cool and comfortable for hours at a time.
The Shorts Offer Effective Compression and Shaping
I’m testing the high-waist shorts that offer a ton of coverage up to my ribcage, but there is also a mid-waist version for more wardrobe flexibility (think: low-back dresses). I’m tall (5'8") with a long torso, and still found the high-rise option comes up past my ribcage. Petite types may be more comfortable sticking with the mid-waist version.
From the moment I roll up the shorts (they’re snug, and it takes me a few seconds to shimmy into them), I feel an immediate compression that’s supportive yet comfortable. I feel confident, not constricted, thanks to built-in paneling that offers targeted shaping throughout the midsection for a smooth silhouette. Another detail I care about? The raw-edge hemline finish at the bottom of the shorts disappears underneath clothing. For me, this is the difference between good shapewear and great shapewear.
They’re an Investment That’s Worth It
When I consider the cost per wear, I can absolutely justify the under-$75 price of the Honeylove MeshSculpt shorts. It makes sense to me to invest in the brand’s premium fabrics and finishes, effective shaping, and long-term wearability. From my experience, shaping shorts from other brands don’t hold a candle to Honeylove’s quality and effectiveness.
The Takeaway
My take? I’ve tried over a dozen other shapewear brands, and Honeylove is still one of my favorites. Lightweight and breathable, the new MeshSculpt shorts will be my top pick all summer long.

Honeylove Bra Material: Nylon and Spandex Explained
Honeylove bras typically use a nylon and spandex blend. This combination gives a soft, stretchy feel that many customers love, with nylon providing the smooth surface and spandex delivering the stretch you need for a comfy fit. For specific styles, here are examples. The SoftForm Bra commonly uses a body fabric around 64% nylon and 36% elastane, with a lining that slightly alters the composition for extra comfort. The V-Neck Bra, another popular choice, also relies on a nylon-spandex foundation and includes cup details that enhance shape and support.
